Xiong Wei

Secretary of the Party committee, associate professor, master degree. Her main research theme is about the theory of party building and ideological and political education. And she has published more than 10 articles with a number of different research topics. Several rewards and titles have been given to her such as The "one specialty and multiple abilities" young teacher of Chengdu; The excellent Communist Party member of Sichuan University, etc.

He Yu

He currently serves as the deputy dean in charge of teaching, an associate professor of the Design Department and a master instructor of the Arts College of Sichuan University, and a standing member of the Art Education Expert Committee of the People's Fine Arts Publishing House. His design works won prizes in many important exhibitions and competitions at home and abroad including the grand prize at the mascot design contest at the Fifth China Arts Festival in 1997, the "Best Design Award" of vi series of the 2006 Design Star and 2006 China Brand Design Award. His works were selected by the "Asian Environment Poster" exhibition at the 2005 Aichi Expo in Japan, the 2008 World Graphic Design Conference and Theme Poster Exhibition of the South Korea Design Week, China and South Korea Design Exchange Exhibition, etc. His design works and papers were been selected by Decoration, Art Research and other important art journals. He once won the Youth Backbone Teacher Award of Sichuan University, Tang Lixin Famous Teacher Award, Excellent Classroom Teaching Quality Award, Most Popular Teacher Award of Cultural Quality Public Electives, Outstanding Teacher Award of Academic Association, etc.

Yang Mei

She currently serves as the deputy Party secretary and associate professor of the Arts College of Sichuan University. Her main research includes ideological and political education and management of university students, career planning of university students, art trends, etc. She has published more than ten articles and participated in a number of research topics. She once won the Model Teacher of Ideological and Political Education, Outstanding of Teacher of Ideological and Political Education, outstanding Party secretary, “Advanced Individual” of maintaining stability and safety of students and other honorary titles of Sichuan University.

Jiao Yang

Deputy dean, associate professor, and doctor of the Arts College of Sichuan University, a visiting scholar at Warwick University, the U.K. and a member of Sichuan Dramatists Association.

She has been engaged in drama education for fourteen years and has always regarded classroom teaching as a stage for mutual share which benefits teachers as well as students. Her teaching integrates thoughts, knowledge and interests. Her main research directions include research of drama performance and direction, drama teaching methodology and applied theater research, etc. She has published 10 academic papers on domestic journals as the first author and participated in 5 scientific research projects. Her artistic work won over 20 national and provincial awards. She was rated as Yong Backbone Teacher of Sichuan University in 2011 and 2012, “Research-type – Small Class” Outstanding Teaching Quality Award of Sichuan University, and “Top 10 Young Teacher Award” of Sichuan University in 2014-2015. As invited by the British Consulate, she serves as the guest for the "GREAT Britain Promotion Campaign" and "Eternal Shakespeare" series of activities organized by the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy and the British Cultural Education Association including the large musical drama Midsummer Night's Dream (director, Chengdu in May 2016), NT Live Chengdu Dramatic Performance (director, Chengdu in June 2016), Tour of Shakespeare Literature in China (lecturer, Chongqing and Chengdu in October 2016), "Shakespeare Film History" Shakespeare Smart Lecture (lecturer, Chengdu in November 2016).


Huang Zongxian

Dean in charge of academics, professor, doctor of fine arts, postdoctor of literary theory, and doctoral supervisor of artistic theory and art aesthetics of the Arts College of Sichuan University, a member of Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Theoretical Committee of Chinese Artists Association, a member of National Art Education Committee, a member of the Art Education and Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Fundamental Education Textbook (Fine Arts) Examination and Approval Committee of the Ministry of Education, an expert entitled to government subsidy of the State Council, an academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, a member of Sichuan Provincial Experts Appraisal Committee, a member of the Committee for Appraisal of Major Setup of Higher Education Institutions of Sichuan Province, vice chairman of Sichuan Artists Association, and chairman of Sichuan Art Education Society.

He has long been engaged in the teaching and research of art theory and undertaken the teaching of a number of programs in Art Aesthetics, History of Chinese Fine Arts, Art History Research Methodology, Design Introduction and Chinese Painting Theory, etc. for doctoral candidates, postgraduates and undergraduates. The professional teaching materials and teaching papers prepared by him independently won national awards. He served as the chief editor of a number of textbooks on art for higher education institutions and participated in the preparation and research of national important documents and topics on art education. The Curriculum System Reform of the History of Chinese Fine Arts, a premium course construction project of Sichuan Province, won the first prize of teaching achievement of Sichuan Province.

He has made more generous achievements in terms of art research and art criticism. He undertook the “Eighth Five-year”, “Ninth Five-year”, “Tenth Five-year” and “Eleventh Five-year” social science research projects and the "Fifteen Five-year" planned project of national education science and the "Fifteen Five-year" research topic of national arts science, the "Fifteen Five-year" research topic of the Ministry of Culture, and served as the chief editor of the History of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Fine Arts, a textbook under the national eleventh five-year plan. He has independently and jointly prepared 13 academic works and published over one hundred academic papers on art history, art criticism and art education in such national art journals as Literature and Art Studies, Fine Arts, Art Observation and Art Research. He often participates in important art and academic activities at home and abroad.
