With the improvement of overall quality of faculty team as the starting point, the cultivation of young and middle-aged academic backbones and discipline leaders as the focus, the introduction of high-level excellent talents as the supplementation, and the deepening of the faculty management system reform as the impetus, the college adheres to the guidelines of structure optimization, quality improvement and connotation development to build a high-level faculty team with excellent competency, reasonable structure, complete echelon and full of innovation vigor, which provides a strong talent guarantee and intellectual support for building a first-class arts college and first-class arts disciplines.
The college has totally 138 faculty members on duty, including 20 administrative teaching auxiliaries, 6 external staff, 35 retired staff and 112 professional teachers. In the full-time teachers, there are 4 experts from Teaching Guiding Committee of Ministry of Education, 1 expert enjoying the allowance of the State Council, 1 academic leader of Sichuan Province, and 1 full-time foreign teacher. The college not only has a batch of domestic famous artists and art educators but also employs a batch of famous experts and scholars at home and abroad as honorary professors and visiting professors to form a faculty team of art disciplines dominated by full-time teachers and supplemented by part-time teachers.
